The Highest Possible Quality of Learning
Welcome to Stella Logos, a research project based on the pedagogy of "Facilitating Learning'. Using our understanding of this pedagogy we aim to demonstrate how an online learning development system functions when designed according to optimal classroom practice. Our goal is to share 'Facilitating Learning' with the world by equipping the educational fraternity with the knowledge and experiences they need in order to get as close to the highest quality of learning that they can within the constraints of their specific context.
Our Story
Get to Know Us
Stella Logos is the product of a long-standing research collaboration between Professor Johannes Slabbert and Dr. Jaco Joubert, spanning over 15 years. In 2011, Professor Slabbert published a foundational work titled "The Brave 'New' World of Education: Creating a Unique Professionalism", in which he, alongside two other researchers, argued for a transformative approach to teaching that promotes the highest quality of learning outcomes. Dr. Joubert, who completed his undergraduate studies in programming, pursued postgraduate research under Professor Slabbert’s mentorship, adapting the philosophy of 'Facilitating Learning' to the online space. This ongoing project is set to reach a significant milestone in 2025, with the first pilot of this innovative teaching model being piloted at schools.
